Wraith paced the dark alley way impatiently, her long tail lashing in fury. Where were her cats? "Bloodlust! Come to me!" She yowled again, only to go back to pacing. Stupid cats.... They can't even come forth when I call them.... I bet one of them'll show up eventually, begging that I, Wraithstar , should forgive them. Then what'll I do? I'll claw their ears to shreds and yowl in their faces that I'm not Wraithstar , but just Wraith! It's a disgrace to be named like a clan cat... She thought angrily, scraping her claws on the hard, unnatural Twoleg stone. Wraith sighed and sat down, adjusting her purple collar. She smiled with wicked satisfaction as she felt one of the many dog teeth cut her paw. The cruel leader didn't put prey teeth on this collar. No, that was a sign of weakness, if all you could kill was prey. Dog and cat's teeth studded her collar, and even more oddly, they were all sharpened.... Wraith got back to her paws suddenly, and began pacing once more, waiting for her cats to gather before her, or be punished.... Harshly.

The tom's fur reeked of Twoleg filth as he slipped into the alleyway, dark fur smoothly receding to its normal color as fiery edge met shadows. He cast his gaze over the near-empty camp then at the cat whose call still echoed in his ears, then dropped three rats - a nice catch for the little time he'd been out - onto the top of their freshkill pile. He'd have kept one for himself, but he wasn't hungry at the moment, and you didn't keep The Ultimate Leader waiting for long.
Lazily Heraldfang padded over to where Wraithstar was so agitatedly pacing and stretched his legs out in front of him, head down, paws spreading wide, claws scraping against the rough stone. It might have been considered a gesture of respect, a bow, or more likely one of indolence and carelessness, a thinly veiled show of mockery. Heraldfang's strong ambition was known to all.
As, however, was his young age, the fact that he was not yet very powerful and hardly a threat.
He said nothing, as several cats had also come after he, and he had no desire to make himself more obvious than he already had.

The small yet powerful she-cat stopped her pacing as cats started to file into the alley. Her cats. Cats she had held together in the rough Twolegplace, just like her great ancestor Scourge. Cats who were fierce and merciless against their enemies. Cats who opposed StarClan, and the forest cats!
Brief pride flickered in her amber eyes before she began to speak. Her voice was cold and harsh, and held a commanding ring. "Not long ago, Twolegs began to enter the forest cat's territory. We thought nothing of it, and didn't think it would affect us. But it has! The forest fools have moved into our city, to take our prey and use up territory that is rightfully ours. And they expect us to let them stay as long as they like! After they drove us to this harsh place because they wanted the forest. And now they want to stay here?!"
She stopped as some of the cats let out yowls of anger. When they quieted she continued. "BloodlustClan will not cave in for our enemies! We shall teach not to underestimate us, the feared killers of the city!" She paused, her eyes glittering. "Starting now I am going to organize a group of cats that are going to spy on the forest cats. They will estimate their numbers, find out where they are making their camp, how strong they are, and how they are coping with city life. Any volunteers before I start assigning cats to the job?" Heraldfang's burnished eyes glittered with excitement.
Oh, how he hated those forest Clans! So very proud of themselves, with their little rituals and family values, too stuck-up and stubborn to even think of allowing another cat leeway! So very kind to the poor helpless rogues, only shoving them away with twice their number, allowing them to live so mercifully! Ignited by buried memories and fueled by learned prejudice, an eagerly burning anger rose within him, an emotion that was half fury and half anticipation--the bloodlust that was his Clan's name and inheritance.
And before he could stifle it, his voice rang above the others':
"Will we scare a few kitties while we're at it?"
Abruptly the halfway-kittenish words brought him back to his senses, and he bowed his head to Wraithstar, a real gesture of respect despite the way his glimmering eyes never left her face. In a smooth, polished voice that was quickly becoming the young tom's trademark, he remarked, "If that's so, I'd love to lead with my own teeth, my leader."
Not to mention how leading such a huge thing would make you look in front of the whole Clan, purred a triumphant songbird in his mind.
((Eeheehee...now would be a good time to remember to post that plot idea I had a while back...>-< -scurries-))

Wraithstar turned to Heraldfang, and nodded slowly. "Fine." She growled, before letting a sneer cross her face. "But if you try to 'scare a few kitties,' as you say, you'll be dealing with my claws. I don't want the forest cats knowing we're spying on them. After this meeting ends, get two other cats to help you with the spying. You're clan will be AeroClan." She turned to face the rest of the cats and asked, "Any more volunteers?"

Heraldfang offered only a pointed smile and a polite nod.
He considered pointing out that it might seem completely normal to the forest cats that they were being attacked. That it might seem almost unusual, that the dangerous, evil rogues weren't chasing them around. That a bit of fun now and then would hardly give them away.
Decided against it. He'd riled Wraithstar enough already, and confident as he was in his abilities he knew he was not yet a match for the powerful leader.
Instead he turned his thoughts to the cats he was now to...spy on. AeroClan. He knew the name, not well. He knew the scent, better, but all forest Clans were alike, and difficult to tell apart. The cats, he had never actually bothered to recognize.
He'd have to learn fast if he was going to pull this off.
The dark tom turned his gaze and attention back outward as cats responded to Wraithstar's question.

((Erm.... What am I going to do with her? There aren't any more BloodlustClan warriors, so they could be there for a long time....))
