A maine coon slipped out of the nursery, purple and yellow mismatched eyes glancing around anxiously. The kit's tail twitched with worry as he padded further away from the nursery, towards the camp exit.
"Where do you think you're going, Duskkit?" Questioned another Maine Coon, a mirror image. He twitched his tail with intrest and waited for the reply.
"Pa, you follow? Told you not to!" Complained the kit. "You's gunna bug me. I dun wanna you to. Almost sunset, see Pa?" He pointed at the darkening sky. It was a clear night, and the sun was close to touching the horizon.
"Then we need to get you inside." Spoke the leader, staring sternly at his son. "We can't let anyone else know."
"Pa, yous try n' follow! Stop it, I like glow!" Growled the kit stubbornly, raising his tail. The sun was now only a bit from the horizon...
"NO." Hissed Blazedstar louder, leaning forward and grabbing his son by his scruff.
His son fought the urge to go limp and slashed at his father, who dropped him. "I ain't goin nowhere Pa!" He howled - his most developed sentence yet. "Go outta home! To mouse n' rabbit n' vole! 'Way from noise n' kits n' you!"
Blazedstar narrowed his eyes until his mate poked him with her tail and drew him away.
His job done, Duskkit walked to the edge of where they lived to watch the sunset. Five...four..three...two...one! Duskkit's eyes widened and he began to develop a black aurora around him, slowly flaring up like a fire. It soon surrounded him, and dimmed, leaving a black cat.
He grinned, mostly to himself, and began to walk back into the nursery. A few of the kits noticed him and squealed with fear. They had been already told stories of the black cat who took them to HateClan.
He just continued to slink along until he bumped into his father. "PA! Yous 'gain!"
Blazedstar picked him up by the scruff and took him to a different area. "You are to go here to watch the sunset, do you hear?" Already the sun was getting closer to dissapearing.
"Ya, pa," Stated the kit sadly as grayish flames flared up around him, dimmed, and revealed his own self again. "Goin' bed. Night." He stalked off towards the nursery and curled up at the edge of a dumpster.
In a clearing. Sighing, the kit stood up. He was in the forest...the forest! He had heard a lot about it. Looking at himself, he noticed he was in Sunset color. But when he glanced at the sky, the moon was full and staring down at him! A cat stepped from the shadows. "Dat Setstar?" Mewed Duskkit. He had heard a bit about the past AeroClan leader, before his father.
"Yes, Duskkit." The StarClan cat raised his eyes. "Tell this, tell this to your father.
What cannot be seen in the day, but cannot get lost at night?
Four will only be shown, but it will mark the war alight.
Glowing black, white, yellow and gray, each Clan will have a saviour.
Risk all you can at the right time, or risk complete failure.
Please, tell this to your father. Tell him that it came to you, but no more. Our meeting must be kept secret." He closed his eyes, and Duskkit felt the whole world spinning into darkness.
"Proph'cy!" He sat bolt upright. "PA! PA!" He began to wail loudly, scared of what had just happened. It was his first dream...
